Join Christopher Hirsh & Liz Eisman in a dynamic conversation about identity, gender, and inclusive language. The information provided will be useful for yoga instructors, as well as anyone interested in expanding their inclusive lens when addressing people individually or in groups.

Gender identity, gender expression, assigned sex (biological sex), & sexuality are all culturally underexposed topics which can create potential pitfalls for teachers or leaders who intend to build safe and inclusive spaces. Education is the first step!

In this workshop we will:

  • Discuss spectrums and assumptions, and how we can welcome and support conversations about identity while also remaining respectful of students’ privacy and comfort.

  • Talk about pronouns, trans- and cis- identities, intersectionality, and more.

  • Provide resources for support and self-education, and offer tangible ways to include and encourage all intersections of identities through compassionate and forthright leadership.

Come and gain specific, useful information about how to support all humans who might seek your teaching, on & off the yoga mat.

This workshop is open to the public. Pre-registration is required.

COST: $45 for the general public // $30 for Living Yoga partner sites and partner studios // $15 for Living Yoga volunteers.
